Thanks to Ice's coding abilities, we now have a new plugin-controlled version of Class Struggle avaliable for everyone to enjoy on TRH Server #1!

If you have never played class struggle before, the premise of the game is that each team is assigned a single class, and these teams are then pit against one another! While non-plugin controlled Class Struggle had team captains selecting the classes, this new version is totally automated, and does the class selecting for each team. Lots of fun class combinations are possible, and hilarity often ensues. As a side note, Engineers do not appear in this mode since their class style causes them to turtle behind sentries (and that's never fun for either side  Tongue).

If one team is getting rolled, players can also type in "votesurrender" to end the match quickly.

From what i'm testing now it seems to be going well, the server didn't crash Cheesy

(Tank will be next after I make sure it doesn't crash the server with 26 people, which is surprisingly hard ._.)

Well, teles and disp arent that bad. SGs are the real problem.

I suppose I could run a check where if the selected class is engineer I simply remove the two pda's that come equipped with it. But then you're basically just a slow scout.

Is there any way to limit SGs and SGs only?
I've been on servers before where they limit engies to only building teleporters and dispensers.  Granted it was only during Sudden Death, but still.

Someone creative should use these to make some sort of video uploadable to youtube, since my computer is equal to that of a caveman doing binary code in real-time.

The soldier and demo are also good classes to play as spam helps to stall the enemy.

Don't use an external program like fraps or anything, source has a built in video recorder that is way better.

Playing this the other night with Decoy being the admin was really fun.

One thing that I feel needs to be addressed is, like the engy, the spy isn't too fun. Whichever team that happens to become all spies, always seems to get rolled.

Maybe only doing spy v. spy rounds or just taking them out completely.

Anyone else feel this way?

Ya. I would have figured it might be too much to ask. Maybe just take the spy out of the equation all together?

  • Removed Medic due to unexplained crashes related to the class.
  • Engineer added and can not build sentries.
  • Script re-worked so people should not spawn in the middle of cp_well again.

Nevermind, I've nailed it.

Whenever we play a map that has a waiting period before the round officially starts (Like gates and such) it will crash majority of the people, I'll be pondering how to fix this but without a way to test it on myself it may take some trial and error.

I'll re-add medics and add lvl 1 sentry guns only in the next update.

Well there is a nifty votesurrender command, I'll be lowering the necessary ratio in the next update for it so that way it actually works :X

However, due to tf2 being bitchy votesurrender only force-respawns everyone to a new class without restarting the round :X
